Job Title: Lock Desk Specialist/Jr. Data analyst

Description:
Position Summary:
The Lock Desk Specialist will execute pricing strategies. You will be required to follow all necessary policies and procedures and focused on driving client''s pricing strategies (locks, re-locks, and extensions). You will work closely with the sales force to answer questions, provide day to day assistance to MLO''s, TPO''s, and Account Executives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Registration and Lock Activities:
• Maintain all product eligibility and underwriting rules in Optimal Blue and Encompass.
• Research company''s portfolio guidelines and policies in response to requests from MLO''s, TPO''s and Account Executives.
• Serve as a liaison between the company''s MLO''s, TPO''s, AE''s and Underwriters to resolve program and product questions.
• Responsible for all lock desk related activities which include lock requests, change requests, extensions, and relocks with both internal MLO''s, TPO''s, AE''s and external investor''s.
• Perform duties related to reviewing, processing, analyzing, and reconciling loan transactions to ensure that the loan data is valid and accurate, and conforms to the company''s guidelines.
• Knowledge of FHA, VA and Conventional loan programs.
• Provide rate quotes upon request.
• Daily uploading production and distribution of rate sheets.
• Handle special tasks as assigned by Manager as needed.

Skills/Knowledge Requirements:
• Ability to work efficiently with a high level of attention to finer details.
• Ability to prioritize, follow through and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to build strong relationships with MLO''s, TPO''s and Account Executives.
• Ability to work effectively under aggressive deadlines required.
• Ability to work in a team or individual setting.
• Exceptional analytical, written and verbal communications skills.
• Detailed understand of rate sheets.
• Experience utilizing Optimal Blue, Encompass, Lending Space and MRN software a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Mortgage banking, including familiarity with loan origination.

Education/Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor''s degree in business or a quantitative discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in mortgage, Secondary experience preferred.
