Project Cost Analyst

Description
The Project Cost Analyst provides project cost, controls, planning and analytical support to Project Managers and other key team members of Digital Field Experience, a $200m multi-year transformational IT program.

• Serve as a financial point-person in dynamic, fast-paced setting with minimal day-to-day guidance
• Create and manage purchase orders; review and validate invoices before payment is approved
• Create and manage financial work orders
• Assist with performance assessments for all projects and research and resolve any significant variances between actual expenditures and budget.
• Prepare and submit monthly accruals and journal entries.
• Review and update monthly forecast of expenditures.
• Assist with preparing annual budget.
• Assist with scenario-modeling and sensitivity analysis.
• Assist with updating cost trackers and risk trackers.
• Assist with labor planning and tracking.
• Manage project and program risk-based contingency, develop and deliver contingency reports.
• Monitor and enforce standards, policies and procedures.
• Develop understanding of the Client budgeting process by providing assistance with financial planning of projects, including financial analysis, project justifications, developing preliminary budget estimates with support from key stakeholders.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Economics, Business or related field from an accredited college or university required.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• PMP preferred.
• Four years of relevant experience required.

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:
• Ability and agility to work independently and self-navigate in fast-paced, dynamic setting.
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite with an advanced level of proficiency with Excel required.
• Must have good organizational, problem-solving, analytical, communication, and human relations’ skills.
• Demonstrated ability to monitor reports, solve problems and be decisive, proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently on multiple tasks requiring priority setting and deadlines.
