Full Stack Developer

Today, our team is focused on the development of applications for the automation of documents as well as databases for storage of both reference (lookup) data and scientific results. Additionally, we partner to enable bidirectional connectivity of our applications to other IT tools in the organization. We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to produce scalable software solutions and to be part of a team that''s responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. As a Full Stack Developer, you should be comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries. You should also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping to maintain and upgrade existing software as well as development and deployment of new software. An ability to understand the business nuances and the connectivity between different teams will be critical.

• Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
• Design client-side and server-side architecture
• Build the front-end of applications
• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
• Write effective APIs
• Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
• Create security and data protection settings
• Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design
• Write technical documentation
• Work with data scientists and analysts to improve software

Required Skills:
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or relevant field
• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role
• Experience developing Data Science/IT applications
• Familiarity with common stacks
• Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, jQuery)
• Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js)
• Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design
• Experience with AWS or other cloud environments
• An analytical mind

Desirable Skills:
• Experience in a GXP environment
• Interest in continuing to learn and develop in the IT space.
• Ability to organize & communicate effectively, both written and verbal
• Ability to challenge the paradigm in a productive manner.
