Position Title: Breaker Technician(Assembly Support)
Shift: 1st Shift 7:30 AM – 4 PM (1/2 hr. lunch)
Projected Start Date: June 8-Oct 7th 2020
Location: Cedar Rapids, IA

Purpose / Summary
Performs all sub-assembly, final assembly, and SPC checks. Performs magnetic, thermal calibration, check test, and SPC checks on circuit breakers.
Major Responsibilities
A. Verify each job has an approved first piece sample at the station prior to any production.
B. Follow process controls and perform SPC checks as work instructions and Bill of material indicate.
C. Verify calibration on gages are current prior to using them for SPC quality checks.
D. Record any required documentation such as SPC checks, Scrap, Kan ban tags, and SAP.
E. Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Job Specifications
Education
High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
Experience
Prefer one year of production assembly work.
Skills / Necessary to perform essential functions
Ability to read and understand written materials including production and inspection procedures.
Ability to interpret simple X bar R charts
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
Ability to use a calculator and computer terminal
Physical Demands Necessary to perform essential functions
Perform light work, lifting objects up to 26 lbs
Dexterity to assemble small parts
Coordination to operator foot pedals while assembly parts with hands
Ability to either stand or sit for 8 hours at a work station
Ability to work with others in a team environment
Work environment
Ability to tolerate a variety of climates within the work environment
Ability to tolerate PPE for work environment
Adheres to factory regulations and safety rules
Ability to follow directions
