This position is specifically focused on weekend coverage for this project with flexible shift options and preferences for days to be worked.

For example, if you want to work 4 ten hour days from Friday through Monday, that would be excellent.

If you can work Saturday and Sunday and flexibly two other days during the week, that can be a great option also!

Furthermore, if you have part-time availability of 8 or 10 hours each weekend day, we can consider this also.

In short, we have flexible options that help us accomplish the expected weekend coverage in this project.

We understand that each candidate’s situation is different and want to work with that as much as possible.

While the core focus of this position is to provide weekend support, we can do that on a full-time or part-time basis with varying schedules.

JOB TITLE: Case Investigator - Supervisor
DURATION: 12 Months

Shifts/Hours:

Case Investigation is conducted seven days a week:

Calls are placed between 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday

Calls are placed between 12 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday

6 to 8 hour shifts

32 to 40 hours per week

Supervisor requirements:

Contact Tracing Supervisor

The Team Supervisor will lead a team of approximately 20 COVID-19 Case Investigators, who are working remotely. Each team will be collectively responsible for contacting people diagnosed with COVID-19 and determine their contacts. The team will provide education about COVID-19, on isolation, and quarantine procedures. The Team Supervisor is responsible for the leadership of team, tracking progress against target goals, providing direct supervision, oversight, and coaching. The Team Supervisor will be the team''s point of contact with the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH).

Supervisors are required to use their own computer and headset and must have a reliable internet connection with minimum speeds of 3mb download 1mb upload.

Operating hours are 9 am to 8 pm Monday – Friday and 12pm -8pm Saturday - Sunday.

Responsibilities:

· Supervise a unit of approximately 20 people that collectively performs all functions of the COVID-19 Community Team response
· Meet team metrics
• Track daily and weekly progress for the unit including cases contacted successfully, contacts tracked and referred, and patients and contacts referred to social support systems
• Manage personnel to include: onboarding, training, performance management, and day to day management of all personnel
· Assign work to employees, schedule work and set priorities, and make temporary work assignments.
· Coordinate the unit''s schedules and provide daily remote supervision and troubleshooting
· Report issues from the unit to the Rose PMO
· Perform phone calls as needed, including to contacts who have been exposed to COVID-19, to places of business a COVID-19 positive patient has frequented, and to refer patients and their families to different social services
· Perform quality assurance through listening in on calls or to recordings of calls and providing feedback to team as well as participating in quality improvement conversations with team
· Liaise with partners and stakeholders at MDH
· Maintain daily contact with Rose PMO

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor''s degree in public health, epidemiology, health science, health education, biology, psychology, pre-medicine, nursing, science, sociology, or social work
• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a customer service, social service, public health or healthcare setting
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working and communicating in challenging situations (e.g., unhappy customers, missing or incomplete information, etc.) and successfully resolving issues
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with cultural and socioeconomic diverse populations
• Experience performing accurate/efficient data entry
• Ability to speak, read, and write English
• Proficiency with technology to sufficiently enter data and engage the CMS tool

Preferred Experience, Skills and Abilities:

• Fluent in at least one language in addition to English
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of the risk factors that impact infectious disease.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, epidemiologic and other health information to experts as well as to the lay public
• Ability to synthesize and critically evaluate scientific literature
• Knowledge of the clinical and epidemiologic aspects of infectious diseases, including infection prevention and control best practices, modes of transmission, and factors affecting disease transmission, prevention, and treatment
• Experience in supervising public health staff
• Knowledge and skills in data management
• Ability to independently solve problems as they arise
• Knowledge of state and local public health problems and programs
• Experience working with people in a time of crisis
• Experience working with cultural and socioeconomic diverse populations
• Experience working with people with disabilities
• Experience conducting interviews or customer service
• Ability to be empathic
• Ability to problem solve complex situations
• Experience preparing and maintaining confidential records
• Reside in Minnesota


Physical Requirements:
• Ability to use the telephone independently
• Ability to use a computer independently
