Data-driven strategies are critical in driving Bayer’s operations and decisions throughout the product pipeline. This position offers the opportunity to work in the back-end with large data and the front-end to build visualizations in a simple and informative way. In addition to strong technical skills, the successful candidate must excel in time management and have a proven track record in building solutions that leveraging complex data. Ideal candidates will have a strong developmental desire to continually learn new technical skills to remain on the cutting edge of capabilities for data analysis and visualizations.

• Refine and develop data reporting systems to efficiently compile data from multiple sources.
• Code, test, debug, document, implement and maintain visualizations
• Develop key metrics and data visualizations that will enable operations, optimize pipeline processes, and add transparency through increased data visibility
• Ensure accuracy of data and maintain data reporting quality and consistency
• Drive reporting and data management best practices throughout a multi-functional team
• Proactively address technical issues

Skills & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related
• 5+ years’ experience working with large data sets
• Experience developing visual analytical reports in Spotfire and willingness to learn new software functions
• Experience with Spotfire, Tableau, and visualization libraries such as D3
• Strong SQL & API consumption skills
• Comfortable manipulating data in a variety of forms including JSON, XML, and CSV
• Familiar with programming languages suitable for data science, such as Python
• Must be able to clearly communicate the health of the project at any given moment
• Exhibit enthusiasm to work through issues and provide creative solutions
