Job Title: Automation Systems Specialist Technician
Location: Bellevue, WA 98005
Duration: 6+ Months, potential to go permanent
Schedule: Shift 1; M-F (7:00 AM - 4:00 PM)

Per manager: "We are looking potentially for a 4-year engineering degree applicant or someone with a technical college degree. We very much would anticipate this person converting to a Siemens employee if they do well in their position."
Position Overview:
The Automation Systems Specialist Technician will be working in a fast-paced new construction environment with cutting edge technologies. The Startup Technician position is responsible for Building Automation control system point to point checkout and for documenting checkout results. The Startup Technician will at times be required to coordinate work activities with trades people and work directly with onsite Project Managers. The Startup Technician position requires core competencies in computer experience, a computer laptop will be a primary tool used in this position.

Responsibilities:
• Database and program coding
• Point to Point checkout
• Sensor calibration and operational checkout of end devices
• Set up and troubleshooting the networked system of field microprocessors
• Graphical User Interface (GUI) checkout and configuration
• Verify wiring is terminated properly at the controller and field device
• Thoroughly document all work completed
• Work with the Siemens site team and commissioning engineer
• Identify quality control issues
• Provide daily progress updates to the site Project Managers
• Perform assigned duties efficiently and within provided timeframe
• Support efforts to create/maintain high Customer Satisfaction
• Proper and accurate documentation submitted daily is requisite

Required/Preferred Education and Qualifications:
• Technical College or four year engineering degree – Strongly Recommended
• High school diploma or GED – Required
• Qualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States. Qualified applicants will not require employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Experience:
• Microsoft office Excel and Word
• Experience using a multimeter
• Commercial construction background
• Networking experience
• Programming Language experience
• Low voltage experience (?50V)
• Abstract and creative troubleshooting skills
• Flexible workflow practices and excellent communication skills
