Global Services Tester

Contract Start: ASAP
Duration or End Date: 12 months
Location: Largo, FL 33773

Shift: 2nd

Summary:
This position performs electromechanical tests on medical devices per established procedures. Uses computerized or standard test equipment to compare instrument readings and monitor displays to ensure conformance within set standards and records results within our system of record.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
. Conducts a variety of tests, measures devices, and calculates data to verify adherence to ensure the unit functions within provided specifications
. Follows all applicable procedures, reviews maintenance records, and completes all documentation as required
. Uses machinery, equipment, test aids, and a variety of mechanical and electrical tools to perform tests
. Uses good judgement from the established procedures and device readings to continue through the testing process or escalate as needed
. Performs scheduled calibration of test stations and equipment to ensure proper functionality
. Cleans and maintain test equipment and instruments
. Performs visual inspection on devices to include structural damage and cosmetic defects
. Trains employees on an as needed basis, if certified as train the trainer
. Adheres to all environmental, health and safety SOP''s, equipment, policies and procedures, including any department specific requirements.
. Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
. Good verbal and written communication skills
. Basic computer and math skills required
. Ability to read diagrams, drawings and follow work instructions within established guidelines
. Basic knowledge of various testing tools such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, hypot tester, pressure gauges is preferred, but not required
. Must be able to lift up to 38lbs on a routine basis

Education and Experience:
. Completed High School diploma or GED required; and 2 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment is required
. OR minimum of AA degree; or equivalent technical certification in a related field
. Prior work experience in running tests scripts is preferred, but not required
. Previous experiencing using: voltmeters, ohmmeters, ammeters, multimeters oscilloscopes, etc, strongly desired.
