Site Startup Operations Program Manager


Our Data Centers are the foundation upon which our rapidly scaling infrastructure efficiently operates to deliver our innovative services. Client is seeking an experienced, self-motivated Startup Engineer to join our New Site Startup team within Facility Operations. This person will work at the leading edge of Facility Operations to prepare for turnover and initial operation of our growing fleet of Data Centers. Managing stakeholders spread across time zones and cross-functional teams is a significant challenge and key to the success of our individual projects and overall programs.


The Operations Program Manager designs, implements and continuously evolves business processes to support all aspects of the Facility Operations organization. In this role you will work closely with leaders within Facility Operations, key Infra Data Centers business stakeholders, and end users to devise optimized solutions for business problems and own delivery from concept to creation. This role will be located at our Fremont, CA location.


Responsibilities:
• Develop and sustain repeatable process for programs at the Client Data Centers globally.
• Build and execute programs that ensure consistency across data centers through the development and implementation of consistent business processes.
• Quantify pain points around operational issues and prioritize resources in areas that will deliver the greatest impact.
• Review operational and business issues and help determine if process improvement or a technology solution is required.
• Conduct business process re-engineering working groups to innovate on business processes and define ways to improve their efficiency and effectiveness.
• Engage the business to capture detailed business requirements and clear functional details for architecting an improved business process.
• Champion and provide oversight for initiatives during the delivery process and provide direct project management activities.
• Lead/Support all business readiness activities including end user training, product testing, and project rollout plans.
• Develop and lead an effective communication strategy; run weekly syncs to maintain proactive stance/awareness about issues.
• Foster a culture of data driven decision making.
• Support day-to-day operations for the Site Startup Team.


Requirements:
• Bachelor''s degree in Business, Engineering or related field
• Data Center experience is a plus
• 5+ years of work experience, including proven project management, interpersonal and communication skills with high attention to detail, and a demonstrated track record of planning and executing large, complex programmatic efforts
• Independent and thorough ability to conduct stakeholder analysis, break down projects into milestones, and produce efficient project roadmaps
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and organizational skills with a clear focus under pressure in an ever-changing environment
• Must have a solid understanding of operational challenges and solving problems in various areas of the business without having deep domain expertise
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including relationship building and “roll-up the sleeves” type of collaboration within a diverse, global, cross-functional team
• Resourceful and action-oriented, with the ability to get things done and overcome obstacles through cross-functional collaboration and consensus building
• Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt and learn new skillsets
• Must be results-oriented and proactive, with the ability to execute on multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• This position will be located in Fremont, CA with some domestic and international travel required (10-20%).
