We are a new team, codenamed Client. We are a team split across London, NYC and SF. A mixture of FE and BE engineers working closely together to deliver something new at Client. The team will be collaborating to rebuild some of Client services to produce a subscription management platform. The Payments platform is a cross organizational collaboration between different teams at Client. It''s an exciting opportunity for teams to truly work together!
The team is made up of talented people from all over the world. We work from London, San Francisco, New York and we collaborate efficiently across time zones. what''s our tech stack?

we have a microservices architecture built on top of a clean and modern code base written in scala. we strive to write code that''s clear and efficient. we make the best use of scala''s object-oriented/functional mix. our team has experience with everything from java, to graphql.
we use finatra as a framework for creating fast and testable http services. it is built upon the finagle rpc and Client server.
we use scalding and hadoop to learn about users and their behavior.

who are you?
you have a proven track record of your technical skills.
you have at least one year experience writing scala code, and prior experience in a jvm-based and functional programming language the role includes coordinating with external stakeholders, often from different teams. to be successful in this role, you''ll need to have excellent communication skills as well as focus to deliver within the technical constraints of the project
you are self-motivated and able to work autonomously and efficiently. you have extensive experience working in a remote team
you are self-directed. you drive features and systems from technical design through to production
you give and receive constructive feedback
you care about helping users succeed in their goals through the features you build
you''re disciplined about testing, quality assurance and writing clear, helpful documentation
you have experience with distributed systems
