Must Have Skills
Looking for lifecycle Management SME with 8+ years of experience.
The team is working in broadcasting and operations engineering for DIRECTV.
Experience in Risk Assessment for systems & applications.
Expertise in Data Analytics – Tracking the component, Check the Signal Frequency, Data Planning.
Experience in Vendor and Asset Management.
Keep track the spare and code versions
Expertise in project management to manage large complex project.
Result-driven, Strategic thinker.

Nice to have
Experience in broadcasting and satellite business domain.
Experience in Java or Python is helpful to understand the application.
Experience in Testing of Component is helpful.

In this role, you will be responsible for the following functions related to the service:
• Develop the Technology Lifecycle roadmap for systems and applications in a scaled production video environment.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of systems and applications contained in the environment.
• Develop mitigating controls should an end-of-life system or application need to remain in use.
• Track changes made to the systems and applications, availability of updates, and the planned end of support by the vendor.
• Initiate and participate in risk assessments on systems and applications reaching end of life.
• Develop strategies for replacing and updating hardware and software that incorporate and align with overall architectural roadmap and business strategies,as appropriate.
• Annually communicate, with quarterly update, the Operations Technology
Lifecycle roadmap to Executive Leadership, Engineering, and relevant vendors.

As the successful candidate, you will:

• Apply fiscal management, including annual planning and forecasting for hardware and software purchases for the environment.
• Acquire an understanding of our long-term business roadmap and any short-term business challenges, and be able to define a lifecycle plan that aligns with this business criteria.
• Assess the quality of production systems and recommend improvements for their end-to-end performance, including application components that span multiple locations, environments, operating systems, and frameworks.
• Leverage a working knowledge of test practices, acceptance criteria, and deployment methodologies in scaled environments.
• Apply a firm understanding of Change Management and Release Management best practices.


The background of the successful candidate should include:

• BA/BS in Computer Science.
• 8+ years or relevant experience.
• Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Java or Python.
• Proficient in one or more version control systems.
• Familiarity with scaled, interdependent, business critical workflows requiring constant uptime.
• Able to develop material to effectively communicate complex concepts and product details to Executive Leadership.
• Proven experience as a communicator, collaborator, and influencer who can engage with multiple technical and business stakeholders/leaders.
